120k miles but with a new transmission that has a 3 year warranty. Charge it at home and at work and am currently averaging 57mpg. Very happy with it. Interior is nice and big cabin space. It’s a pretty big car. It’s about the same length as my Explorer.
@Joey
Wow that’s impressive. Haven’t done a long drive yet. Only thing I’m considering is installing a 240v outlet at my house. Don’t need it most days but would be nice to get it recharged that fast on days I’m leaving the house multiple times.
@Sky
That was without charging, mostly city driving with some small highway bursts. Use eco mode and learn to let the adaptive cruise control do most of the braking and accelerating while you just relax and mostly steer.
I do Uber and that’s my daily average; it only gets better if I can charge.
@Joey
How does yours show how many gallons were consumed along with energy use?

Do you switch to gas (EV Later) when on the highway? I’ve always thought that Auto mode should have a prompt that asks you if you want to switch to gas once the car hits 60 mph or so.

I’ll turn it off if I’m on the interstate.
@Sky
I shoulda bought a hybrid .
I have the exact same and have over 230000 miles.
Considering buying the same car but on the fence. Don’t have a place to charge at work or home. If I rarely plug in to charge (like maybe the mall once in a blue moon) and use it as a hybrid with regen braking, do you know if it will still keep a charge long-term and not shorten the lifespan of the car? Worried about replacing the Energi battery if it does kill it over time by not plugging in.
@Eli
Not worth it if you can’t charge at home or work. With it being winter, I am lucky to get about 10 miles of electric range before the gas engine kicks in. Get the regular hybrid; you get a lot more trunk space and probably better fuel mileage since you won’t be hauling around a dead battery all the time.
@Harley
The trunk space in the Energi is small to the extreme. Only 1 hard-sided carry-on suitcase fits. At the grocery, maxed at 4 paper bags (5 at a stretch).
@Eli
I have the 2020 PHEV, right now it has a recall so I can’t charge it. It operates exactly like a hybrid, just with the tiny trunk. I will be charging it at work eventually.

I would have been so frustrated in your position. Ford taking 5 years to replace your battery is bullshit. You’ll have already driven the car for maybe half its life by the time you get the full car you paid for.
@Eli
Definitely don’t get an Energi if you can’t charge at home. Makes it pointless. Just get the hybrid. Bigger trunk.
