Recently bought a 2016 Fusion Hybrid Energi and love it

Definitely don’t get an Energi if you can’t charge at home. Makes it pointless. Just get the hybrid. Bigger trunk.

That’s the way I’m leaning now but it kills me because there’s a beautiful used Energi with less miles and all the options I want for like 2 grand less than all the other Fusions I saw with similar histories but less options. But if it kills the car battery prematurely, that’s definitely a non-starter (pun intended lol).

Nice. I just got a 2017 Energi. I’m only getting about 40 mpg but I keep it in EV Later mode.

So you don’t plug it in to charge?

A fellow ruby red owner! Such a beautiful color, enjoy!

Were the transmission problems fixed by 2016?

I think it was fixed late 2015 according to others on here.

I love your color red; my car is white, and I don’t really like the color lol.

I’m at 180k miles and no problem. The car runs like new; everything is stock.

Congratulations :tada: the red is really pretty.

Welcome to the club; hope you get many years out of it and nice color.

Side note: The Energi is the PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle) so it’s redundant to say hybrid and technically not correct either as it’s a PHEV, different from a Hybrid.

@Joey
Oh gotcha, that makes sense.
