Iāve got a 2013 Fusion Hybrid SE with 90k miles, and I recently installed H11 bulbs from Amazon that are listed as āincompatibleā for this model. Theyāre a bit large, but I managed to fit them without removing the bumper by dropping them in from the topāitās surprisingly easy! A microfiber towel made twisting them in tight a breeze. Theyāre insanely bright with the OEM projectors.
Next, Iām wrapping the housings with VViviD Bio Pulse HEX+ Smoke Air-Tint (when the weather allows) to match my turn signals and tail lights.
Iām also working on other mods: installing a full Pioneer TS-Z series sound system (components in front doors, coax in rear) with PlugāN Play Kit #14 and a 17ft cable. I plan to upgrade the SYNC unit later.
Yes, that is a train horn going behind the engine block! Iāll mount the button on the steering column. Modding this car has been such a fun obsessionāI absolutely love it!

You replaced your headlights with aftermarket units?
Just the bulbs in the OEM Ford housings. Theyāre of a very high quality. Aftermarket housings are all very bad projector (and in general) quality, so I will not buy any of them.

How snug are those seat covers? Been eyeing the coverado ones on Amazon for a while!
Very snug. They fit even better in this one than they did in my 2018 Fusion Hybrid SE for some reason. But yes, very snug. Very comfortable. They are quite comfortable, and also add lumbar and neck support.
Thermal sound insulation. Removes road noise, and echoes or diffraction from the speakers. An added benefit is they insulate the car thermally, which means the A/C will work less in the summer, and the interior of the car wonāt freeze as easily in the winter. It is surprisingly heavy stuff. The doors close with a much more āsolidā feel now. I plan to run the same stuff all along the bare metal base floor of the car interior when I remove the seats and carpeting to run the amps and DSP wiring to the trunk.
I did the sync swap in my '16 and love it. Not sure about the '13s but I bought the 2017 Fusion antenna base as it contains a GPS module and a splitter cable that would make it basically a factory OEM swap so I didnāt need that cheap GPS puck and mess with my dash.
Donāt buy a swap kit, I bought the unit from a totaled 2017 Fusion at a junkyard here locally in AZ for like $100 and the antenna base and cable was probably around $180 or something from the dealer.
Has the sound dampening stuff made a big difference?
