Just Got My Tuner for the Fusion and It's Wild

This is the first mod I’ve done and probably the last haha. For the price the extra power you get is unbelievable.

I keep thinking about that. But then I remind myself, no, I have a 1.6L and that might just speed up getting to the final destination (coolant issues).

I wonder if I can use one on my 15 Fusion with the 2.5L :thinking:

Tuners don’t do much for naturally aspirated cars. I also have the 2.5L, but you don’t really get power from them unless you add a bunch of aftermarket parts or add boost. But both options require way more work than just getting a tuner.

Haha reading this post made me think the same thing :joy: I have the 2016 2.5L.

Are you doing any data logging?

@Florian
I’m not doing that, no.

You should do that to get your timing set right.

Wow, how does that work?

Basically it lets you re-tune your engine and transmission for different cars. You can adjust how much power the engine is making and when the transmission shifts for better power and smoother shifts.

This tune added 91 HP and 82 Torque.

@Blake
That sounds amazing, does it hurt the engine or transmission in any way?

Some tunes can push your engine to its limits, and you get maximum power. If you have a legit track car, that could be worth it, but for a daily driver it’s a bad idea.

A regular performance tune can actually help your transmission last longer by making it work smarter.

@Blake
What’s your wheel horsepower right now? I have a WRX but I’m kinda looking at a Fusion for a project car.

Awesome! :+1:

@Blake
Did you get it on a dyno before and after the install? If not, you can’t really say you gained that much power. A little box saying it added this amount doesn’t mean your car actually gains that much.

How much did everything cost?
