2016 SE. Had an evaporator replaced a few weeks ago and from what I understand the mechanic had to spend many many hours taking the car apart to get to the part. AC works great now. But recently I noticed a sound when I drive fast enough (60mph or so) like some kind of flapping of a piece of the body on the number banging against something. Looked under the car and this is what I see. Is there like a piece of plastic or metal that should be covering all this?? Midway to the back of the car there is almost like a fabric-like material under the car, too. I can’t imagine that’s been exposed the whole time I’ve owned this car.
Can’t figure out what’s flapping around but now I’m more concerned about this.
Yes, the splash shield is absent from you. It inserts into those crimson objects. That aluminum shield is likewise secured at the back by two screws. It’s probably banging about quite a bit and catching wind. I would insert a few screws prior to the aluminum shield being torn off.
I had one. But the stock one I swear to God is made of cardboard and over time just disintegrated. It got to the point I had to crawl under and just rip it off…
