I recently brought 2019 Ford Fusion plug in Hybrid from a 2nd hand dealership.
Then I heard about the battery recall issue.
I was wondering if I will be able to take it to a Ford Dealership when time arrives to resolve the issue?
I am located in Ontario, Canada.
EDIT: As I am the 2nd owner of the car and didn’t buy directly through Ford dealership, I was wondering if cost of recall or repair will be covered by Ford?
Additionally, one of you commented that, there’s a buy back option for the car? I didn’t receive anything like that. Should I be calling Ford dealership regarding it?
Large recalls like this one are completely covered by any Ford service facility or dealer. They recently mailed owners a letter explaining that the first step would be to disable your charging capabilities, or there would be a buyback option. We will replace the battery at a much later time. Visit your nearby dealership to speak with a service expert if you intend to keep your Fusion.
