I woke up this morning to this sound that I’ve never heard before, curious if anyone’s experienced this before. It’ll be in the mechanic Monday but kinda sounds concerning.
Are you referring to the blowing sound or the light tapping?
It is a cracked flex plate, I just replaced ours, not cheap
I’m a ford dealer tech and to me it sounds like a cracked flex plate on the video
Sounds like really bad!! But mileage year engine size will help
If it’s the flex plate, get in touch with Ford; they have free recalls for these and will correct it. I’m not sure if the recall is still in effect, but mine was fixed on a free recall for a 2019 Titanium.
Kinda sounds like the serpentine belt tensioner is going bad. Or something is loose on the motor 
. Or really bad spark plugs and it’s not firing right.
The thumping It sounds almost like something is missing, but I’m not sure. I’m not mechanically inclined in the slightest, but I’m positive that it wasn’t acting like this yesterday.
That sound came from the water pump pulley bearing on my car. $1100 for the 1.5 water pump replacement.
