Hey all, I’m pretty sure my turbocharger is about to give out, so I’m looking to replace it. I’m a bit confused, though, because I know the 2.0 and 1.6 engines have different mounting setups. Does anyone know if this is the right turbocharger for my engine?
Any advice on how to double-check compatibility before I buy would be super helpful. Thanks

Edit: I can’t read apparently. What is your question? It says it’s the turbo for the 1.6L…
So on the 2.0 it has 4 mounting holes for the studs bolting onto the I believe either block or head. I’m trying to figure out if the 1.6 has 3 or 4. And if that’s the right turbo for the 1.6 before I buy it since I don’t wanna get the wrong one

They all say they’re for the 1.6-tons of sellers use a stock photo of prodicts-they also provide the part# they replace(they’re all the same).
@Nash
Yep-you can even get a rebuild kit or “cartridge”(where the moving parts just swap out as a unit inside your housing) rebuild for it-they should come with all gaskets/seals needed. I’d definitely go that way over some online unit that isn’t “OEM quality/Manufactured to OEM specificationss.”

Well I’m not even sure if it is my turbo going out. I recently got my spark plugs coils also got a fuel treatment and cleaning and new tires done at Firestone. Now when I get on it to accelerate it like is sluggish and the rpm jumps. Not sure if maybe I have a vacuum leak or if my turbo is lagging or what. I’ve replaced my purge valve and my waste gate solenoid because I had a check engine light for that.
@Nash
Based off of this info i would almost just throughly look over all of your hoses/wires that have to do with what you had serviced, maybe they didnt plug/put something back on all the way by accident. Or something could’ve rattled loose. Either way not a bad idea to double check before buying a replacement turbo especially if it wasnt that bad before you brought it in
@Shaye
Agreed-sounds like a bad connection somewhere-maybe where they disconnected the vacuum line to do the “fuel treatment”-*don’t bother with this fake “maintenance” btw! It’s hard to find fuels that don’t already have detergents & solvents to keep modern fuel systems clean.

Check the vacuum line to your turbo. Mine had a tiny little split right before where it slides onto the nipple at the solenoid. Found it only after replacing a bunch of stuff I thought was causing the same problem you describe
