2011 Ford Fusion, 191k miles, for $2500? Should I get this car?

I had a Fusion that rusted away too quickly. Some of these cars are not worth keeping past 100k miles.

If it runs well, sure.

I’d definitely try to negotiate closer to $1500. High mileage means you have to be careful.

I had a 2011 Fusion and it was great. Just make sure to take it to a mechanic for a check-up before buying.

Yes, I bought a 2016 Fusion with 230k miles for $4k and it’s been great except for the back-up camera.

My back-up camera also fluctuates. You just have to adapt!

Try to find out if the miles were accumulated slowly or if it was heavily used (like an Uber car).

I think that’s a good deal. My 2010 Fusion has been running fine for seven years.

Just check it thoroughly for any issues; it could be worth it.

My Fusion is jerking during acceleration. It’s been serviced, so I’m not sure what’s wrong.

You might want to consider junking it.

I bought a 2010 for around that price with fewer miles and it’s running great.

This makes me regret buying a 2012 Fusion for significantly more with higher mileage.

I bought my 2011 Fusion five years ago at 130,000 km and it’s been issue-free despite now having 209k km.

If it’s a hybrid, it could be worth it.

I bought my 2012 with high mileage, but it’s solid as long as you keep up regular maintenance.

For $2k, there might be underlying issues beyond cosmetic damages. Be cautious with the transmission, as older models tend to have problems.

My 2014 is in good shape at 197k miles due to maintenance. How much did your transmission repairs cost?

@Chan
It was quite a while back, so I don’t remember exactly.

While I love the Fusion, for $2500, you may be better off looking for an old Honda or Toyota.
