I have a 2015 Fusion SE with a 2.5L engine and just hit 85k miles. Is there anything I should be worried about? I haven’t flushed my transmission yet.
You should drain and fill the transmission fluid. You might also want to look into doing a coolant drain and fill, plus check the spark plugs.

Should I just drain it or go for a flush?
@Teo
I had a flush done, but my mechanic had a newer machine that doesn’t push debris back into the filter, so I suggest a drain and fill instead.

I’ve been told my transmission is locked and I can only go to Ford. Are there other mechanics that can open it? Thank you for the advice
@Teo
Did a Ford technician tell you that? They often say that just to bring you in. I suggest calling local shops that have experience with this issue and gather some information.

They are saying my transmission is locked so only they can unlock it, not my shifter.
@Teo
I understand, but I would still call around to see if there are options. It is hard to say without more details.

Hopefully, this link could provide some help.

Don’t forget to check your cabin and engine air filters. You might also need an alignment and a brake fluid drain and fill.
