So originally I wasn’t really a car guy at all. I own a shitty 2016 Chevy Cruze that’s on a lease because it’s my first car. When I look at a lot of cars I never really get excited… until about a week or two ago when I was looking at some YT short of cheap cars that’re cool and the Ford Fusion came up. I looked it up and it got discontinued in 2020. Personally, I feel like that makes me like the car even more because there’s limited stock. Then I saw the mod potential and after that it was wraps. I have a game plan stirring rn. I make enough to buy this car and mod the shit out of it, I’m just a tad bit busy with other stuff, but anyway, the point of the post was to basically say the Ford Fusion (Titanium 2016 or 2019 Sport) is pretty much my dream car. Is that weird?!?!? Lmao
I wasn’t too excited about my cruze either! I traded it in for a 370z in the middle of winter. Eventually I needed a reliable daily after my Equinox and Impala took a shit. Enter the Fusion.
If I were you, I’d skip the Titanium. It will be quicker than the cruze but you’ll eventually want more power. And unless you get a 2020, the coolant intrusion issues the EB has may catch up to you —especially with added boost. I can’t remember if the 2.7 had the same issues or if the short block was different from the get go, but its worth researching.
I ended up getting the 2.5l fusion SE as my daily. Safe to say I’m very happy with how it drives and feels. The titanium package is really nice, but I didn’t want an ecoboost
The 19 sport is a rare bird, 19 was the last year for the sport if I remember correctly, and the run was only a few hundred to a couple thousand made. 18 is more plentiful and in the 19 year they were cutting cost so taking things out.
The nice thing about the sport though is it already makes decent power on its own, but also takes to a tune quite well. Factory they are tuned for 87 to 93, if you get a 93 only tune you pull the factory 325 up to around 400 and the torque from 380 to 450 or more.
My 18 sport has the 401a package so I’ve got all the goodies. Active cruise, the dual screen cluster, sync 3, the 110v outlet.
