Tried going to work this morning and the car won’t start.
What do you guys think the issue is ?
Sounds like the engine starts the crank then stops.
The engine light is the only light that stays on. Car is pretty well maintained, just got the Transmission rebuilt 2 months ago.
Probably just needs a battery. That flickering of the IPC normally shows a heavy dip in voltage

Definitely think battery. It happened to my car a few times due to cold weather in 8 (soon 9) years of ownership.

Thanks for the response, hopefully a new battery will do the trick.

If it hasn’t been replaced yet, you’re probably past due anyways
As others have mentioned, I would start with the battery. My 2016 Fusion Hybrid was doing basically the same thing as yours is and when I replaced the battery it fixed the issue. Report back with whatever the fix ends up being!
check the battery connection mine did that when it had a rusty washer removed the washer and it started right up i put it back on after i cleaned the rust
Thanks for the help everyone. I made this post just cause of all the problems I’ve ran into with this model of fusion, as I mentioned I had the transmission go out at only 78,000 miles just 2 months ago, so I was worried.
I was able to get the car started with a jump
So I ended up replacing the battery, and the issue seems to be resolved.
