Highest I got was 40.5 on my '18 hybrid. Took a highway trip and dropped it down to 39.8. Will take about a month to get back to 40.5.

Why would it take a month? How does that work, just curious?
Hell yeah dude. I’m at 28 on my Ecoboost 2014, but I drive that thing like an ass .
Not bad. I’ve never been over 38 on my 2017 hybrid.
On a flat highway, I can get 35 with my 2.5; more like 28-30 in my hilly western PA terrain.

My 2019 2.5 hits 40+ on the highway all the time. I’m currently on an 800-mile road trip and I’m at 36 MPG with 100 miles left even after going through the Siskiyou National Forest while it was snowing and icy AF. Got sketchy when I hit a few miles of straight black ice but this beater has done good with like 400 lbs of stuff in it.
@Jesse
Proof that you don’t need a tiny engine and turbo to get good MPG.

Yeah, no major repairs so far, knock on wood.

Yes, the dealer I bought from has a deal for $500; it covers 5 years of oil changes, tire rotations, and a deep discount on all other factory-recommended maintenance, as well as inspections. I’ve re-upped it twice now since I bought the car, and it’s more than paid for itself.
