My brakes won’t work???

Could be a bad connection or an open in the motor for the caliper. If you drive slowly, will the vehicle stop?

Speed 5

I’m not an expert so take what I say with a grain of salt. I had the same thing happen to my sport, took it to my grandfather (a certified mechanic). There was no apparent issue, no codes other than a faulty parking brake switch, nothing wrong with the brakes (again this could vary case to case, so I’d at least have someone who knows something about cars look at it if you yourself don’t). The parking brake still worked as it should. The code itself though couldn’t just be cleared; once I replaced the switch ($15 fix), it was good to go. Like I said though, the brakes worked fine in my case. Again, this could be different from case to case, I’m not really sure but in my situation, it was perfectly fine to drive. Just make sure your parking brake is always off (I know it seems like common sense, but when I was reading up on the problem, that was one common issue I saw where it wouldn’t let them turn it off and in those cases it was something with the lines themselves). Hope this is in some way helpful.

Mine does this sometimes; it works better if you hold the brake pedal while applying the parking brake. Restart the car and release the parking brake to reset it.

Do you have Forscan?

No.

I have this exact thing going on with my '17 SE. A mechanic friend said to have someone get under it to check which caliper is freezing up when it tries to engage. No dragging that I have noticed so far.

I’ve had this issue if I spam the e-park brake.

Take it to the dealer if you can afford it or don’t drive it until you can. Just my .02 (10-year certified Ford master tech).
