I think the guy that had it before did. He also took all the badges off besides the Ford logos.

No. I cut and welded everything. There aren’t many options for Fusions and I didn’t want to buy an overpriced Magnaflow and be like everyone else.
Definitely needs a resonator of some kind. But muffler delete is not too bad it seems. Stock resonator is massive so a smaller one may make it a little bit louder while keeping the raspiness and pops down.

Thrush is the brand with the cartoon woodpecker mascot. They’ve been around since 1966. Their glass packs are typically painted red.
Had a '14 2.0, catted downpipe, res delete, 3” pipe, w/ dual 3” out muffler. Was just loud enough, but not too loud. Also didn’t rev unnecessarily, which helps to not draw more attention, lol. Traded it last year for a '20 Nautilus 2.7, currently has cat-back, res replaced with x-pipe, 2.5” piping, race muffler, with 2.5” tailpipes. Searching for catted down pipes.

I saw a YouTube video where they replaced the muffler with several different parts. That should help you decide.

Unfortunately mine’s an SE with single exhaust, so that probably requires some custom fab, since like all the exhaust kits out there seem to be only for the dual exhaust variants.

I’ve seen some for the single exhaust models. None of them are actual true dual exhausts, just single in dual out. I may just straight pipe it or do a muffler/resonator delete but I’m afraid it will be too loud and I’ll look like a buffoon.

I had a 2016 SE with the 2.5. Had custom piping on it. Muffler and res delete with a custom 3.5 inch resonated tip. The tip alone made the car sound so much louder haha. The amount of people plugging their ears as I drove by and telling me how loud the car was brought joy to my heart. Knowing I was driving the slowest car on the road, but was getting so many smiles, points, and laughs because of it made me genuinely happy.
