Ive checked the battery, the code I get is for the evap module but I checked it and it works properly. No engine light goes on when driving and using, but as soon as I turn on the high beams it goes crazy then shuts off.
Replace the battery. Even if it “tests” good. These cars are crazy notorious for electrical problems when the battery gets old.

True dat^^^
Maybe you have one lamp with a dead short? Can you update when you find the solution to this problem?
How old is the battery?

Like 6 years. I went in to get it checked and charged. The guy said it was 94% full and good.

Yeah no. 6 years old is not a good battery. Ideally need to be replaced every 3 to 4. Batteries age since they are liquid. They can still hold voltage but they will hold dirty voltage. Replace your battery regardless.
This one’s a doozy
Seems like a connection issue possibly due to corrosion, improper voltage, or loose connections in general… how to find the culprit - this is gonna need a thorough diagnosis (hopefully you know someone trustworthy, or are mechanically inclined enough to check it yourself). I’m dying to know the cause of something like this though seems so random. Would appreciate any updates when you get it figured out!!! All the best.
@Denali
It’s weird because it only happens when I turn on the high beams. The car’s regular lights are really dim so we normally use the high beams a lot. I’m hoping after replacing the old lights and high beams it can solve the issue.
I would post this in r/AskMechanics.
